Integrated climate change Risk and Adaptation Assessment to Inform Settlement Planning in Choiseul Bay, Solomon Islands - Final Report


This Risk and Adaptation Assessment was carried out to provide the Choiseul Provincial Government (CPG) with guidance on how to proceed with proposed future development, as well as management of existing development on Taro Island, in order to address natural hazards both now and in the future. The outcome of the assessment is an Adaptation Action Plan and Master plan for future development on the mainland, including a draft local planning scheme detailing planning provisions and development controls / codes.

This publication was produced under the Pacific-Australia Climate Change Science Adaptation Planning (PACCSAP) programme.
