Using cloud services for in-project data storage and transfer: a fact sheet for Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects

This two page fact sheet gives guidance on the use of cloud computing services for storing and sharing information and data during the life of a research project.   It examines the risks and limitations of these services. The most common concerns are potential data exposure, data loss, confidentiality and privacy compliance.

The document was developed to support  climate change adaptation researchers funded under the Australian Commonwealth Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) Planning for Climate Change Fund to integrate best practice in climate change adaptation data and information management into their project activities.
