The documents in this collection discuss various aspects of best practice data and information management. They were developed to assist climate change adaptation researchers but apply to the research community more generally. They were produced by the Griffith University Climate Change Adaptation Information Support Project, which was funded under the Australian Commonwealth Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) Planning for Climate Change Fund. Documents range from short information sheets to a comprehensive reference guide, and cover topics such as intellectual property, ethical considerations, short-term data storage and data sharing during research projects, options for long-term data deposit including domain-specific repositories, use of durable digital file formats, and creation of metadata to maximise discovery of project outputs. |
